Image Analysis & Composition.

This is a close up shot, which seems almost dominating and intimidatingly in your face, this represents the model as a powerful figure, furthermore looking at the eye line and applying the rule of thirds, we can see that they are high up in comparison which emphasis his importance.

This Photo shows the model wearing fairly bland but casual clothing, but this makes him stand out even more. These dark dull clothes actually stand out from the white background.

In this photo its predominate colour is blue/black, this is giving the photo a mellow feel, but this contrasts with the strict facial expression, this cold perception mixes with the sunglass look as it looks 'cold' and unemotional.
In this photo we are angled more to the right of the models, and the focus is more on the model closest to the camera considering that people on the left of the camera are normally thought of as more dominating/important but this photo inverses this, and we assume the closer model is more in focus than the rest because he is more important.

Also looking at the eyeline we can express this further by saying the models have a high eyeline but the main model has a higher eyeline before the rest.
In this picture the model is in the centre of a sepia gradient, this makes him stand out from the background even though he is in sepia as well.
In this the models eyeline is lower rather than higher, in fact it’s not even looking towards the audience, this states that he is in his own world and hasn't even acknowledged the existence of the camera, which makes him seem respectable.
The audience gets an inside view of who he is by the prop of the guitar, its states his interests and what makes him happy.


Looking at these images I could see how they could be useful to my magazine, I'm actually considering positioning the singer on the right of the camera, but maybe not as close to it, so it can show the importance but also the equality of the group. I will also be looking at the band wearing casual clothing but I may consider a filter (like sepia) to match the colour scheme of the magazine, and having no props as they aren't needed, for this photo-shoot. Furthermore I'm considering having a slight angle to the photo to as a new perspective to the photo instead of straight forward. I think that taking features from these photos has helped adapted my own original ideas to portray the band.
